Leveraging New Technologies to Deliver Accurate Licensure & Discipline Data

Through the strategic investment of resources, FSMB has dramatically enhanced our technology, tools, and processes over the last year, enabling us to provide outstanding data solutions to member boards across the country. Through a collaboration of our Information Services and Data and Research teams, FSMB continues to provide a constant stream of accurate, up-to-date licensing and disciplinary data to state medical boards across the country, as well as to governmental entities, the credentialing community, and the public. This is an outgrowth of our invaluable, century-long collaboration with our member boards, who share their licensing and disciplinary data on an ongoing basis with FSMB’s Physician Data Center.

Learning and Growing — Together

After nearly two years of virtual programming, FSMB returned to in-person educational offerings with our 2022 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, and 2023 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN. We also continued to provide year-round, high-quality educational offerings as our Virtual Education Program, launched in 2020 as a temporary response to the COVID-19 pandemic, evolved into an ongoing educational resource for regulators, health professionals, and policymakers.

Advocacy in Action

With the goal of helping boards achieve their legislative and policy priorities, FSMB supported the needs of state medical boards through a wide variety of advocacy efforts and services, including working directly with many member boards to answer research requests, provide testimony and white papers, participate in planning and strategy sessions, and connect boards with valuable resources.
